Yunus Emre Institute in London offers a Turkish Shadow Play (Karagöz and Hacivat) performance to the general public at the Institute. Karagöz and Hacivat Shadow Play is an educational project launched by Yunus Emre Institute in London that aims to promote an understanding and appreciation of Turkish culture as well as establishing a bridge between students coming from different cultural backgrounds. As part of this project, Yunus Emre Institute will be visiting primary schools in London during school hours to perform the shadow play. Karagöz & Hacivat is a traditional Turkish shadow play which performed in a relatively dark hall on an illuminated, white screen.
