Times: 2 pm – 5 pm

Fee: £250

During this 3-week course, students will prepare two different animations on Cinema and Yunus Emre Enstitüsü.

Animation workshops are a fantastic way to engage, empower, educate and inspire people of all abilities to allow them to creatively express their ideas while learning many invaluable skills. In our workshops, where each session covers a different theme, you will explore the creative and technical aspects of animation, tell stories you have imagined, bring your characters to life, and make your own animations.

How does this workshop work?
We work closely with students demonstrating the different processes and supporting them in the realisation of their own ideas. During the workshops, students
– are introduced the basics of stop motion animation,
– experiment with several animation techniques via small exercises,
– design and model their characters based on the theme of the week using colourful plasticine or craft papers,
– create their own short animated film with a group.

Who is it for?
Diverse groups over 16 are all welcome! If students are new to animation, no problem! We have everything they need at the workshops to get them going. No drawing skills required!

What are the key take-aways from the workshop?
Over the workshops, students will learn all about
• creative thinking
• set designing
• model making
• animating

In addition to learning how to make an animation, our workshops offer:
• A rich opportunity for participants to practice their skills of critical thinking, problem solving and communication.
