The Forgotten Tastes of Anatolia Masterclass with Chef Ali Açıkgül

In this masterclass, accomplished Chef Ali Açıkgül will take us on a journey through the history of Malatya cuisine, one of the leading players in Anatolian cuisine, and will build a bridge between the past and the present.

Chef Ali Açıkgül will revive the story of Anatolia’s “forgotten tastes” by combining geography, food, and childhood memories, and will bring the forgotten flavours to light.  

During this masterclass, Chef Açıkgül will demonstrate the preparation of two different Anatolian delicacies; Stuffed Cherry Leaves (Kiraz Yaprağı Sarması) prepared using the leaves of cherry trees picked in season and Sautéd Fruit Leather (Bastık / Pestil Kavurması)  made of mulberry fruit leather.
