The 1492 Göke exhibition showcases the works of 35 Turkish Sephardic artists and is a great way to honor the journey of the Sephardic Jews to Turkey when they were welcomed by the Ottomans.
This multicultural exhibition is organized by Yunus Emre Enstitüsü – London in collabration with T.C. Londra Büyükelçiliği / Turkish Embassy in London, Turkish Airlines, Turkish Culture and Tourism Office (Turkey.Home ), Instituto Cervantes London and Turkish Ottoman Sephardic Research Centre (@Sephardiccenteristanbul)
1492 Göke collective art exhibition, curated by Terry Katalan, aims to be a cultural bridge between London and Istanbul and highlight the history of the universal name “Sepharad” via art.
The exhibition contains oil paintings, watercolour paintings, glass sculptures, artisanal glass, mosaics, marble art, fabric fusion, ceramics, enamel, acrylic paintings, artisanal jewelleries, Ottoman Jewish attire drawings, installations, sculptures and photography.
