The new term of the highly successful Cambridge Turkish courses commenced on 17 October 2019.Established in 2017 by Yunus Emre Institute in London, the courses take place at the University of Cambridge Language Centre.
Courses at the centre are open to students, academics and the general public. During the 2019-2020 Academic year, a total of 10 undergraduate, masters and Phd students studing in fields such as Archeology, History, International Relations and Geography will be learning Turkish.
The course materials including the Yedi Iklim Turkish Course Set and the Z-Book application has been prepared and published by the Yunus Emre Institute while taking into consideration The Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR). The 15 week programme will continue till 5 March 2020. Arranged accordingly to the Universities Academic Calender, the courses taught for 2 semesters by Dr. Kubra Yildirim Khan will also incorporate a variety of different events such as film screenings and additional conversation classes to facilitate the learning and cultural enagement of the students.
