Dr Karakus ended thanking the exhibition curator Prof. Dr. Ahmet Sacit Açıkgözoğlu, the founder of the Traditional Turkish Arts (TTA) Platform, Dilara Karaağaç, the artists whose works are on display, and the Yunus Emre institute team.

Traditional Turkish arts have been a representation of Turkish culture, aesthetics, and history for centuries. Traces of cultural traditions, customs, legends, and beliefs dating back thousands of years can be found behind even the most seemingly simple motifs in these arts. Without losing their traditional qualities, each branch of art has continued to develop in accordance with the aesthetic values of the ever-changing art world.

Having organised courses and workshops to promote these branches of art with increasing interest since 2010, Yunus Emre Institute London aims to preserve these art forms for future generations by showcasing some of the liveliest examples in The Noble Exhibition.

The exhibition launched on the 28th of November and was open to visit until 21st of December at Yunus Emre Institute London.

Most of the exhibited artworks are available to purchase onsite or online via https://traditionalturkisharts.co.uk for the duration of the exhibition. The proceeds from the Exhibition directly support the exhibiting artists and Yunus Emre Institute’s charitable work.
