Yunus Emre InstituteOn the 30th of July 2024, Yunus Emre Enstitüsü – London hosted an inspiring calligraphy workshop for children, led by the talented Gulnaz Mahboob. The workshop introduced young learners to the art of Rika script, a traditional form of Turkish calligraphy. It was truly a remarkable experience as the children skillfully blended tradition with creativity, mastering the elegant and intricate strokes of this historic art form.
As they worked with patience and focus, their calligraphy pieces reflected not only their talent but also their deep appreciation for the beauty of Turkish culture. The young artists’ work was filled with precision and elegance, and it was clear that each stroke was infused with passion for this ancient craft.
