Turkish Language Courses Certificate Ceremony Held at Yunus Emre Enstitüsü – London

On June 21, 2024, Yunus Emre Enstitüsü – London hosted a memorable certificate ceremony for its Turkish language courses, celebrating the achievements of its students across various levels. The event featured an array of performances, presentations, and acknowledgments, highlighting the Institute’s commitment to promoting Turkish language and culture.

The ceremony kicked off with opening speeches by the Director of the Yunus Emre Institute and the Turkish Language Education Coordinator. These addresses set the tone for the event, emphasizing the importance of language learning and cultural exchange.

Student performances were the highlight of the program, showcasing the talents of learners at different levels. A moving recitation of Yahya Kemal’s poem “Silent Ship” was presented by a C2.1 student, while another C2.2 student delivered a presentation on “Yunus Emre Institute and My Turkish Journey.” Additionally, a B1.1 student captivated the audience with an online presentation on “Turkish-Greek Cuisine.”

Music also took center stage, with a special ukulele performance by a teacher accompanying students from various levels. The students performed popular Turkish songs, including “Don’t You Understand” and “Gesi Bağları.” In another musical segment, a vocal artist enchanted the audience with renditions of “Fikrimin İnce Gülü” and “I’m in Love with Bartın.”

The ceremony also recognized the dedication of Turkish language instructors, with the Institute Director and the Educational Attaché presenting appreciation certificates to teachers for their hard work and contributions.

Certificates were then awarded to students from the 2023 Fall and 2024 Spring semesters. Recognition was given to learners from A1 to C2 levels, as well as those who completed specialized courses like Text Analysis and Speaking Classes. Special certificates were also awarded to students who participated in the Cambridge University Turkish Language Program.

The event concluded with a celebration of Turkish cuisine, where attendees had the opportunity to enjoy traditional dishes and take memorable photos.

This annual ceremony not only marked the students’ academic success but also highlighted the growing influence of the Yunus Emre Institute’s efforts to foster cultural connections through language education.
