Event Description:
Join us for a creative afternoon at Yunus Emre Enstitüsü – London, where young minds will embark on a storytelling adventure with children’s author Gamze Özdemir. As part of the Yunus Kids’ Club activities, this interactive event will bring to life the enchanting world of her latest book, 4 Seasons, 4 Cities, 4 Birds.
Children will be captivated by the journeys of four birds exploring Türkiye’s diverse landscapes, using these tales as inspiration to create their own stories. Through guided activities, participants will learn essential storytelling skills, including story structure, character development, and expressive writing, in a fun and supportive environment.
Event Highlights:
- Interactive Storytelling: Experience the vibrant narratives of 4 Seasons, 4 Cities, 4 Birds as Gamze Özdemir reads selected passages, sparking creativity and imagination.
- Creative Writing Session: Children will craft their own short stories, using the thematic elements of the book as a springboard for their creativity.
- Book Signing & Meet-and-Greet: A special opportunity for children to meet the author, have their books signed, and engage in meaningful discussions about storytelling.
Please note that limited copies of the book will be available for purchase at Yunus Emre Enstitüsü during the event. Participants will have the opportunity to buy a copy and get it signed by the author, Gamze Özdemir, on the day of the event.

Gamze Özdemir’s 4 Seasons, 4 Cities, 4 Birds follows the adventures of four different birds in four unique Turkish locales as the seasons pass. Londra Yunus Emre Enstitüsü’nin Yunus Kids’ Club etkinlikleri kapsamında gerçekleşecek bu yaratıcı öğleden sonra buluşmasında, çocuklar Gamze Özdemir’in rehberliğinde unutulmaz bir hikâye yolculuğuna çıkacaklar.
Çocuklar, 4 Mevsim, 4 Şehir, 4 Kuş kitabında yer alan dört kuşun Türkiye’nin farklı şehirlerindeki maceralarını dinleyerek kendi hikâyelerini oluşturma fırsatı bulacak. Etkinlik boyunca rehberli aktivitelerle hikâye kurgusu, karakter gelişimi ve yaratıcı yazım gibi temel becerileri eğlenceli ve destekleyici bir ortamda öğrenecekler.
Etkinlik İçeriği:
- Etkileşimli Hikâye Anlatımı: Gamze Özdemir, 4 Mevsim, 4 Şehir, 4 Kuş kitabından seçili bölümleri okuyarak çocukların hayal gücünü canlandıracak.
- Yaratıcı Yazı Atölyesi: Çocuklar, kitaptaki temalardan ilham alarak kendi kısa hikâyelerini yazacak.
- Kitap İmza Günü ve Yazarla Tanışma: Çocuklar, yazarla tanışarak kitaplarını imzalatma ve hikâye yazımı hakkında sohbet etme fırsatı yakalayacak.
Lütfen unutmayın: Etkinlik sırasında Yunus Emre Enstitüsü’nde Gamze Özdemir’in yeni kitabının sınırlı sayıda kopyası satışa sunulacaktır. Katılımcılar, bir kopya satın alıp, yazar Gamze Özdemir tarafından etkinlik günü imzalanması fırsatını bulacaklardır.

By participating in the Yunus Kids’ Club event, you acknowledge and agree to the following:
- The workshop is designed for children aged 7–15 years. Parents or guardians are required to accompany their children during the entire event.
- Due to limited space, registration is required. Only 25 children will be accepted, and spaces will be filled on a first-come, first-served basis.
- All materials for the workshop will be provided by Yunus Emre Enstitüsü – London, but participants are encouraged to bring their creativity and enthusiasm.
- Photographs or videos may be taken during the event for promotional purposes. By attending the event, you consent to the use of such media in promotional materials by the organizers.
- Registration is mandatory. In the event of a no-show or last-minute cancellation, please inform the organizers in advance to allow others to participate.
- The organizers reserve the right to cancel or reschedule the workshop due to unforeseen circumstances, and in such cases, all registered participants will be notified promptly.
- Due to the risk of allergens, no food or snacks will be provided during the workshop. We advise parents to bring their own food for their children.
