Course Overview
Step into the world of Turkish traditional arts and explore the symbolic beauty of tulips in this hands-on Iznik Ceramic Motifs Workshop!
Iznik ceramics are famous for their vibrant tulip patterns, reflecting centuries of artistic excellence. In this workshop, children will paint their own Iznik-style tulip designs and bring the theme to life with a fun tulip origami craft!
Guided by an expert instructor, young artists will discover the history and meaning behind the tulip motif in Turkish culture, gaining insight into traditional arts and craftsmanship in an engaging and creative way.
This workshop enhances artistic skills, fine motor development, and cultural appreciation, while offering a fun bonding experience for families.
Assessment / Outcome
By the end of this workshop, participants will:
✔ Learn about the history and symbolism of tulips in Iznik ceramics.
✔ Develop creativity and fine motor skills through painting and crafting.
✔ Create their own Iznik-style tulip designs using vibrant colors.
✔ Fold origami tulips as a fun 3D craft inspired by the workshop theme.

✔ All materials provided by the Institute – no need to bring anything!

- Parental supervision required – Adults should assist children with craft activities, especially when using scissors.
- Please wear comfortable clothing suitable for arts & crafts.
- No food or snacks will be provided due to allergy risks – families are welcome to bring their own.
