Parchment Demonstration: Crafting with Skin and Tradition
Observe the traditional process of parchment making, as raw animal skin is stretched, sanded, and prepared into a polished writing surface. Learn about the historical techniques and cultural significance behind this ancient craft. -
Papyrus Collage: From Plant to Paper (Hands-on)
Using traditional, plant-based methods, participants will create their own handmade sheets of papyrus. After crafting the paper, you’ll design a personal collage or artwork, blending ancient techniques with your own modern creativity.
