Join us at the British Library on May 18, 2024, for the European Writers’ Festival, where we will be featuring celebrated Turkish author Selçuk Altun in the panel discussion “Changing Gears”. This special event, in collaboration with Saqi Books and the Times Literary Supplement, promises an intimate look into the creative process of authors who work and write in more than one genre1.
Altun, a former bank manager who now writes fiction, will be joined by Laurent de Sutter (Belgium WBI), Kristiina Ehin (Estonia), and Emma Dabiri (Ireland). Together, they will discuss whether genre matters, if one can excel in multiple genres, and how changing gears can boost creativity1.
After the panel discussion, you’ll have the opportunity to meet Selçuk Altun and other panelists. It’s an afternoon that promises to be as engaging as it is enlightening—perfect for literature lovers and publishers alike. Don’t miss this chance to dive into the world of European literature and enjoy a day of conversation, inspiration, and literary exploration. See you there!
