Chef Ali Açıkgül, the famous flavorist of Turkey and the author of the Forgotten Tastes book has had strong enthusiasm for cooking at an early age with a motivation to constantly improve and become the best version of himself as a chef. Breaking new ground in Turkey, he created the 'Chef Ali' brand and established his own website, combining his profession with technology

As one of Turkey's masters of taste, he is best known for his ground breaking ideas that he introduced into the Turkish cuisine.

Throughout his career, he has worked as an executive chef at many distinguished local and foreign restaurants around the world.

He is the founder of Chef Akademi, one of Turkey's leading culinary schools.

He currently continues to teach both at his own Academy and at the Eastern Mediterranean University.

He is lecturer at the Eastern Mediterranean, Culinary Arts Department, and besides teaching at the Chef Academy, he is a gourmet columnist for many magazines, and a member of Slow Food and Chaîne des Rôtisseurs.
