Umut Ekiz

Umut Ekiz's musical journey commenced during his early school years when he embarked on his first musical training in bağlama at the İhsan Özturk music school. Graduating from the Ege University State Turkish Music Conservatory, he specialised in the main discipline of Turkish Folk Music, completing his bachelor's degree with the "Kabak Kemane" instrument. Subsequently, he actively participated in various artistic events as a musician, engaging in stage performances, choir coaching, individual music instruction, and concert collaborations within both private and public institutions.
After graduating from the conservatory, Ekiz relocated to London, UK, in 2010. While there, he contributed to diverse associations and foundations, offering music education to both children and adults. He also took part in various concerts and activities, showcasing his skills and passion for music.
Umut Ekiz has left his mark on the music scene by recording instrumentals for both local and international music groups' album projects. Currently residing in London, he continues to lead a fulfilling life as a musician, contributing his talents to the vibrant musical landscape of the city.
