You’re invited to an evening of live music, fun games, and the chance to win prizes all while practising your Turkish! Join us on Friday 10th December 2021 – 6:30 pm at the Yunus Emre Institute in London for our exciting Turkish Culture Night!

Here at Yunus Emre Institute in London, we have adapted well to social distancing measures put in place by transferring most of our courses to the online space. While this has made most of our courses accessible to more people, we miss the hustle and bustle of in-person classes! So, we have organised an event for all those enrolled on our courses to get a taste of Turkey right here in London and meet your course-mates in person!

Let’s set the scene! Playing lively traditional Turkish music, our Turkish Culture Night will feature musical performances by a 4-person ensemble led by Oudist Baha Yetkin. We will be supplying a musical program beforehand, so you can join in with the well-known songs if you wish!

You will also have the chance to partake in playing a number of fun board games and raffles – and yes, there are prizes to be won! The evening will consist of a relaxed atmosphere; a perfect opportunity to test out any Turkish you’ve been learning and to socialise with course-mates.

In case you need any more persuading, throughout the evening, there will be home-made Turkish food available for you to enjoy!
